Main Stage & Canopy Design

For ZNA Gathering 2019, the stage and canopy design drew inspiration from organic forms and psychedelic patterns, creating an immersive environment that complemented the natural forest setting and the event’s musical aesthetic.

The stage featured a sculptural centrepiece with flowing, tentacle-like structures in layered, vibrant hues. These elements were airbrushed to create depth and movement, forming a visually engaging backdrop for the performers while maintaining harmony with the surrounding environment.

Above, the canopy was constructed using a combination of digitally printed and hand-sprayed stretch
fabric. The design incorporated flowing biological motifs and fractal patterns, allowing dappled sunlight to pass through and interact with the shapes. Openings were intentionally placed to accommodate tree growth,
integrating the structure with the natural landscape.

This installation focused on balancing visual impact with functionality, offering both shade and atmosphere for festival attendees while respecting the forest setting.
