Main Stage and Canopy Installation
For the iconic Vortex Open Source festival, our team was commissioned to deliver a fully immersive stage and
canopy installation that would transform the natural outdoor setting into a vibrant, multidimensional environment. The result was a striking fusion of organic shapes and digital motifs, brought to life with UV-reactive prints and layered textile structures.
The bespoke canopy design featured a combination of geometric mesh fabrics and sculptural panels, arranged to create a flowing, interconnected overhead experience. Designed for both visual impact and spatial functionality, the canopy provided shaded zones while enhancing the festival’s psychedelic atmosphere.
The stage backdrop and surrounding elements were crafted with dynamic, high-contrast artwork-ranging from neural circuit-inspired patterns to morphing biomorphic textures. Under blacklight, these elements glowed vividly, pulsating with colour and energy in sync with the music and lighting design.
This installation served as a central visual anchor for the festival, drawing attendees into a surreal landscape of light, sound, and form-true to the spirit of Vortex Open Source’s celebration of art, nature, and electronic music.
